Very Close to the Original
I have held on to my original for several decades, possibly even half a century. No other brush works as well on long hair and a long beard. I have been trying to find another for some time. The new one is very close to the original. I’m very pleased with it. It has similar bristle strength, but may be a shade softer.

This could be the last hair brush you ever buy
I was looking for a hair brush that wouldn’t pussyfoot around with untangling my curly locks. This is it. It’s exceptionally well made and has a bit of heft. It also scratches the scalp a bit if you overdo it (so don’t overdo it). It will soften some with time and become exactly the brush I was looking for. So far, it’s shed a couple of bristles, but nothing overly concerning. Not the prettiest or flashiest brush out there, but if you have thick hair and want a solid brush that will reach down to your scalp, this guy is the way to go. Recommended.

I’d used this model Stanley brush for years. it was sad when i realized i would have to replace it. i am happy to say the new one is even better than the one i had before. i don’t need a comb when i use this brush. it’s bristles are firm and stimulate my scalp without snagging or pulling my hair. i was surprised and happy with the inexpensive price.

Best Brush I have ever used!
When I bought this brush I was worried because of one of the reviews that said it was not as nice as the original. I believe that I have the original which I loved, especially because of the tortoise color and the softer bristles. Unfortunately, the bristles wore out. I have another brush like the one I just ordered, and the bristles have NOT worn out, and I have had it for 10-30 years. As a girl and now a woman, I like the men’s brush better than the women’s because of the shape.

The only one that does the job properly
We’ve used a Stanley Commander hair brush for “several” decades. It’s still doing its job although a few of the bristles are missing. So, having found this for sale, I decided to get one.It’s a tiny bit little larger than the original, but appears to be otherwise the same thing. Same handle, bristles, etc.By far the best hairbrush around, for long (up to 24 inches) or short hair. For me, it’s the only one that does the job properly.Time will tell how it stands up to wear etc. If it lasts as long as the old one, it will outlive me and I’ll have to leave it somebody in my will. I thought about ordering two, but then we’re in the realm of bequests to grandchildren.
