Surprise! It’s pretty terrific!
This was a last minute pick up as a stocking stuffer for myself. It was less than half the price of the Aveda brush I’ve bought for years now. This Bsisme Hair Brush is a stand-out. To get Boar Bristles for $10 is unheard of and I was pretty skeptical. I am giving it 5 stars mostly for being the first hair brush that claims you can “use it for detangling WET hair.” This is the only brush (or detangling comb) that could back that claim up for me, personally. It didn’t break my very long hair, or pull it – it was very effective and cut my comb-out time in half, too. It’s nowhere near as staticky as my former brush at $30. The wood is very pretty and smooth – polished well and no splinters.I think the handle is a little short for the width and length of the brush – it’s a pretty ample paddle brush. Unfortunately, it’s not balanced at all and I have to be mindful not to let it slip out of my hand onto the floor. I would imagine anyone would like this for a gift anyway. I would never carry a brush this size in my handbag. I would pack it away in my luggage if I were traveling.

Beautiful brush. The combo bristles are perfect for my hair. I have thinning hair, and this doesn’t hurt my scalp. Seems to be pretty durable so far, but only time will tell with that.

Slight damage but a great brush
My daughter has long thin hair and it’s always a battle finding a brush she likes. This brush seems to work great. The bristles are a great help in detangling. There were a few bristles bent to the side when I pulled it out of the package but otherwise works just fine.

I think I found perfect brush for me
I’ve been on a hairbrush hunt lately and have bought 4 different mixed bristle brushes (plastic and boar). I started with the ridiculously priced Mason Pearson “Popular” ($150 Costco) because I just had to see what on earth the fuss was about. Well, it’s definitely a great brush and feels good on the hair and scalp. However, I found the plastic bristles to be just slightly too short to get through my thick, wavy, course hair and thus lacked the satisfaction I was desiring. The plastic bristles were also straight with no beads on ends. It got returned, as I couldn’t justify that expenditure for something that wasn’t perfect. I tried the Sonia Kashuk ($15.99 Target.com) version, and it was just about the same as the MP, only smaller. In fact, it really looks as though it is trying to be a very comparable and competitively priced knock off. Same thing with plastic bristles being too short for my hair. Then I tried the Goody Heritage brush ($15.99 Target or $8 on Amazon!!), which is larger than Sonia Kashuk and feels absolutely wonderful! If you do not have super thick hair, wavy hair, it is PERFECT. The plastic bristles have beads on the end which feel amazing on your scalp. My child with long, but thinner, hair LOVES it. Kept it for the kid. I found the length of plastic bristles to be perfect, but they were a little softer, and not quite stiff enough for my liking. Enter this Sosoon brush. I LOVE it. The plastic bristles are great length, are stiff enough for my thick hair, have the beaded ends, which I love and make my scalp feel massaged, and had large surface area in its paddle design. Very happy. Appears well made. As others have mentioned, nice magnetic storage box. I should note that all the boar bristles on the 4 brushes above were great. Mason Pearson had the stiffest, and probably best quality boar bristles.
