There are 4 different timer settings to choose from:
On at Dusk, off in 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours.
The default setting when the candle light is first plugged in is 6 hours.
a. To select the timer setting using the remote control, first turn the light ON by pressing the button.
b. Then press the 2h, 4h, 6h or 8h button to select how long you want the light to run each night.
Press the 2h 4h 6h 8h button again to turn OFF the candle light. It will turn on automatically at dusk and run for the designated time period.

Love this battery operated snowflake candle projector! Don’t forget to buy your batteries before it arrives! I would definitely buy this item again and or for a friend!Update*** I put brand new batteries in,used it one evening for about 2 hrs and then when I went to turn on the next evening, it was completely dead! I put new energizer batteries in when after unboxing,used 2 hrs and turned off and it drained before I could use a 2nd time the next day. I would not recommend unless you have new batteries every time you turn it on or I suggest you take the batteries out after every use.

Nice holiday decor
The wall in our dining room by the tree was so plain so I looked for some kind of projected images and voila! The snowflake candles! I laid them on their sides on the fireplace mantle so they would project across the table to the wall. It worked out just fine, except for a bit of interference from the chandelier. I agree that using 3 AAA batteries means rapid use and replacement. I didn’t really want to run a cord across the mantle so plugged them both in to a fully charged high power power bank and so far, so good! I set it to run for 2 hours and it’s gone on 3 nights so far for the duration and I haven’t had to recharge the bank yet. I also got the star candles for another Christmas mantle and tried to use smaller power banks I had on hand but they ran down AlIsn’t as quick as the batteries. Guess I’ll get another high powered bank! But very pretty and adds much to the festive decor.

Perfect for winter
I was hesitant purchasing after reading some of the reviews but you can’t always go by them. There is absolutely no issue with the battery! I have had mine on a timer for over a week now for five hours each night and I have had absolutely no issues! I used energizer batteries so maybe if you use cheap batteries that would happen but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend!
